After you program the 829LM Monitor to your Liftmaster MyQ enabled garage door opener you can put the monitor in any room of your house that is in range of the garage door openers. The range of the monitor is approximately 200' but that will depend on the building materials of the home or any structures that may be in the way. Normally if your remote works from the room you put the monitor in then the monitor should work also.

Don't have a MyQ enabled garage door opener? If you have one of the following Liftmaster or Raynor garage door openers you can install the Liftmaster 889LM MyQ Wall Control Panel on your opener which upgrades the opener to accept MyQ accessories including the 829LM Monitor.

- The 829LM can be programmed with up to 4 Liftmaster MyQ garage door openers
- Volume Control - can be adjusted to high, medium, low or off
- Close Door button - pressing the button will close all open doors. Both LED lights will blink as the doors are closing
- Audio Confirmation - a long beep will be heard when the door(s) are closed
- Red & Green LED Lights - indicate when a door is open or closed; when monitor has received signal from opener; when door is closing; when monitor isn't programmed to an opener
- Audible Alerts - beeps when door is open or opening; when door is closed with the Close Door button
