The M8-705 is the photo-eye safety sensor kit (part number 97246). It includes one transmitter, one receiver, mounting brackets, and sensor wire. Lags for the brackets are not included. It replaces the older ML-705 (69190), ML-705 (0047454), and M4-705 sensors. It is backwards compatible with all Marantec openers.

Compatibility

These sensors work with all Marantec openers. Compatible models include Mac-Lift Deluxe 2005, Mac-Lift Elite 2007, M4500, M4700, M4500e, M4700e, M4900e, Q7500, Q7700, Q7900, Synergy 260, Synergy 270, Synergy 280, Synergy 360, Synergy 370, Synergy 380, Synergy Solo, Synergy LC, and M50. Not every opener is listed.

When the sensors are powered and aligned, the green light on the transmitter stays solid. If the beam is broken or the sensors are misaligned, the green light flashes. The red light on the receiver stays on as long as the sensors have power. The door will not close from a remote if the beam is blocked or the sensors are not aligned.
