LiftMaster 3000 Series Opener Manuals

These LiftMaster 3000 Series openers mount on the ceiling with a rail. The manuals we have posted are for the 3280, 3850, 3265, and 3245 / 3255. Horsepower varies by model (1/3 HP or 1/2 HP). These units use a purple Learn button (Security+ 315 MHz). An 893MAX remote or 878MAX keypad will program to that purple button. Not every LiftMaster 3000 Series model or manual is shown here. We post the manuals we have. Older or uncommon units may not be listed.

Purple Learn Button

3000 Series operators in this group use a purple Learn button (Security+ 315 MHz). On ceiling models it is on the motor head near the antenna. A faded purple button can look brown. Program a 893MAX remote or 878MAX keypad with that purple button. Click the photo to enlarge.

We don’t sell opener circuit boards. They typically aren’t the issue when experiencing problems with the operator.
