L979M LiftMaster Wireless Keypad
The L979M is LiftMaster’s current wireless keypad. It replaces the 878MAX. It works with LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Craftsman, and matching Raynor openers that have a red / orange, purple, yellow, or white Learn button (about 1997 to current, including Security+ 2.0 and Security+ 3.0). It does not work with a green Learn button. The download below is the installation and programming PDF.
Compatibility
Compatible LiftMaster and Chamberlain operators: Openers with a red/orange, purple, yellow, or white Learn button, about 1997 to current. Includes Security+ 390 MHz, Security+ 315 MHz, Security+ 2.0, and Security+ 3.0.
Replaces: 878MAX.
Not compatible: Green Learn / Billion Code openers (about 1993 to 1997). Use the L979U Universal Keypad for those openers.
